The Anti-Women Harassment Cell (Gender Champions Club) of Poornaprajna College (Autonomous), Udupi, organized an Awareness Programme on “Tobacco Use – Awareness and Prevention” on 11th November 2025 at Vasudeva Kripa Vidya Mandira English Medium School, Bailoor, Udupi. The programme aimed to educate school students about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and the importance of leading a healthy, addiction-free life. The session was conducted with the support of faculty members and peer educators, who effectively communicated the physical, psychological, and social consequences of tobacco use through interactive discussions. The programme helped create awareness among students and encouraged them to make informed and responsible choices for their well-being, thereby fulfilling the objective of social responsibility and health education.
