The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor at the Poornaprajna College Campus, Udupi, on January 26, 2026. The ceremony commenced at 7:45 AM and was organized by the collaborative efforts of the NCC Army, NCC Navy, NSS, Rangers & Rovers, and the Youth Red Cross units. The highlight of the event was the flag hoisting and blessings delivered by His Holiness Shree Shree Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji, the President of USAMEC. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Honorable Secretaries, Principals, and staff of various Poornaprajna Institutions, including the Principal, Dr. Ramu L.

Following the flag hoisting, the campus resonated with the singing of the National Anthem and a disciplined march past by the NCC and NSS units, a staple tradition of Republic Day at the college. Swamiji’s address emphasized the significance of national duty and the role of youth in nation-building, echoing the institution’s commitment to creating responsible citizens. The coordination of the event was handled by a dedicated team of officers, including Dr. Sandeep Sathyamurthy (NCC), Mrs. Jyothi Acharya (Rangers), Mr. Rao Harshal Devraj (Rovers), and NSS officers Mrs. Suparna and Dr. Nagaraj G.
