The B.Sc. PCM combination is one of the most prestigious and foundational programs at Poornaprajna College, Udupi. Established in 1965, this course is designed for students who wish to explore the fundamental laws of the universe, the intricacies of chemical matter, and the logical rigor of mathematical structures. This triple-major program provides a robust scientific foundation, preparing students for careers in research, industry, and academia.

Duration & Requirements:

• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)
• Requirements: Candidate should have passed PUC with Science subjects.

Subjects / Courses:

The B.Sc. PCM combination involves study of the core 3 subject (one paper each) for the first 4 semesters along with other mandatory and elective subjects. These non-core subjects would be  English, Languages (Kannada / Hindi / Sanskrit) and others.

• Physics – 1 paper each for 4 semesters, 2 papers in 5th and 6th semesters.
• Chemistry – 1 paper each for 4 semesters, 2 papers in 5th and 6th semesters.
• Mathematics – 1 paper each for 4 semesters, 2 papers in 5th and 6th semesters.
• English – 1 paper each for first 4 semesters.
• Language – 1 paper from a language of choice [ Kannada / Hindi / Sanskrit ] for first 4 semesters.
• General Education – 1 paper per semester.
